A Little Background About Myself
My name is Dave Rickard (also known as Skip or MMShadowT) and I reside in West Virginia, 50 miles northwest of our nations capital, Washington DC. I've lived in this area all my life and wouldn't want to live anywhere else. I've been employed by the Jefferson County Board of Education for 24 years. I've been riding motorcycles for about 15 years. My first bike was a 400cc Suzuki I bought for $450 just for cheap tranportation to work.That little bike started the fever. The next bike was a 1987 Honda Shadow VT700C, purchased new in April of 1988. I rode this bike until I bought the 2000 Tourer. I wish I could have kept it, but unlike this garage there was no room in my real one. An important item for everyone to understand is that I am not a motorcycle expert and don't claim to be. I'm just an everyday working guy who enjoys riding, talking, reading, and tinkering with motorcycles.
